Isn't this a perfect example of modern Liberal-Conservative debate and cooperation, about any topic?

Yes, the bald man is the Liberal in this cartoon.

Update:

Nobody got the subtext of Liberals forcing government upon people, and Conservatives trying to focus on what government should actually be doing until we just get frustrated, did they? Heck, even the part where a liberal says we made a great suggestion that we didn't is in there. No no, just label the bald guy as an EVIL CEO so must be a Republican, any other viewpoint is invalid and I am delusional.

*Sigh* I'm going to stop talking now.

No, quite the opposite! Tell me how corporations serve their customers interests in any way that will not be profit-making and the bald man can be the conservative. A liberal would want to serve their needs regardless of whether or not it brought in more profit.

There was a movie that came out about 30 years ago about a Cuban refugee who struck it rich and became vice president of a company because they gave him the task of creating a need for elbow deodorant. That is what conservative businessmen do - rather than listen TO the needs of their customers, they find something and try to create a need IN their customers.

    Yes

You do mean how you're in denial as to which character is the conservative right? Conservatives frequently like to pretend they're engineers, when they're actually the CEO character.

So yes, this is similar to the way conservatives like to think of themselves as something they are not.

no. Dilbert, an engineer in California silicon valley, most assuredly votes Democratic and the CEO of the company is certainly a Republican. so the Liberal-Conservative mantra does not apply to these comic situations.

No a liberal converstation would have a woman or a minority in it. The conservative part could be that he would be always looking for ways to cut costs. :P

  • If government ever solved problems they would force themselves into obsolescence.
