I went into a job interview to Menards, and the first bit of paperwork they asked for was a 'survey' that had 25 questions that basically asked if I was a thief, drug-user, or drug dealer. That's fine in itself, but they demanded I put my full social security number on the 'survey' because they needed the record.

Is this standard interview procedure now? And should SS numbers be attached to 'surveys'?

For the record I pointedly asked if they needed the SS number for it, and they said yes. When I refused the 'interview' was over. Walked out feeling like I was accused of being a thief and drug dealer and didn't do a good job defending myself. Why do they need my SS number attached to such a blatantly offensive questionnaire for? So if they believe I steal or deal drugs, they can go to court have documentation that I denied I was over a dozen times?!?!? What is the point of making employees think they are working for a company that is hypersensitive about them being thieves and druggies? That even a malicious rumor will get you fired?

I remember my own dad telling me to to tell people how much I actually make, and I remember news shows that said many resumes are rejected if they name any price. Yet as I post my resume around different sites, and talk to different employers, they're always asking me what salary I am looking for.

Is there a good reason for this? How freely should I talk about expected salary? And if I shouldn't even mention it until they are willing to hire me, how should I handle such questions before that?

Note; my father ran a company that employed over 100 people and make a couple million dollar profit for over 20 years.

Two, it is finding different text on a webpage and converting it to a hyperlink that pops up an ads when my mouse is over it. The pop-up says they're "Ads by Supra Savings'.

Is this something Geek Squad can fix, or other computer repair? Maybe call up Norton and have them look at it directly?

Should I just buy a new one? It came pre-installed on my computer.

I'm doing this because Adware has partially high-jacked my browser, and constantly inturrupts my web-surfing with ads, demands to update IE (I don't need to), and 'comparing' any pic on the website with simlair products.

Is a spray can and blocking off the windows enough? Or is a good car painting more involved, even when all I want to do is darken the color?

I have two monitors hooked up normally, then a third attached by HDMI. All connected to the same graphics card. But when I try to set up their arrangement in "Screen Resolution" Windows 7 only allows me to have two active windows at once. Even when I try to duplicate the monitors, have monitor "2" and "3" show the same thing, I get a "Unable to save display setting error".

What is going on, and what do I need to do to get all three monitors in on my computer at the same time, even if two of them are duplicate views?

I'm useing Windows 7 operating system. Is there some setting I can use to get it to stop adding extra charcters to my copy and pasteing of text from one applicaiton to another? What I highlight is exactly what I want.

The extra charcters are usually spaces, carriage returns, and double-spaceing when I'm trying to copy a single-spaced set of text.

Heat it up to decrystalize it maybe?

And I am asking because when I do a search for "Task Manager" in the app store, I just get apps for manageing my phone/tablet/computer programs. Not a task manager like you would find in outlook, which is what I want.

Heck, if anyone can tell me the term to search for instead of a "Task Manager", that would help as well!
