I heard honey never actually goes bad, but when it crystalizes what do you do?

Heat it up to decrystalize it maybe?

If it is liquid honey warm it a bit, creamed honey does not crystallize due to the wax content, for liquid honey I just warm it in a bowl of water until it comes back, but the crystals are not dangerous, just annoying.

put a wash cloth in bottom of a kettle, set the bottle of honey on it and fill kettle half full of hot water. set on warm burner to keep it hot and wait for the crystals to dissolve.

I happen to love crystalized honey! It doesn't drip off my toast!!

Just set the container in hot water. The crystals will melt.

Warm it in a bath of hot water, and stir it. Then eat it quick (a few days) becuase it will re-crystallize.

  • Yes, it's find when it crystalizes. The bath of hot water, as suggested is probably best. But it can be very carefully microwaved as well.

Leave it on the window sill in the sun for a few hours or use a hot water bath
