Is there any way to make a radio get better reception?

Update:

We are not allowed to have earphones at work, so anything like an MP3 player is not an option. The only thing we are allowed is a radio on our desks. And sitting where I sit, I can only get two stations. One just plays the same bands over and over all day. I'd like to know if there is a way to get better reception. or are there any radios available that pick up more stations in places that are hard to get reception.

It doesn't sound like you are in a position to add an antenna to your radio. IF you have a pull up antenna, extend it as much as possible. Otherwise you will need to spend more money on a good radio. Still no guarantees. Try ccrane.com for some good ones.

You would be surprised what a short wire attached to a coat hanger can do for FM or AM Radio reception. Using a power or amplified antenna may also help, and many cost less than $40, best buy and other places sell them. Not all radios are equal, better names often work better and get better signals.

get a bluetooth speaker and stream music from online radio from your smartphone using a free radio app like tunein. That way you wont be relying on the reception. Great if you unlimited date plan
