Please answer! How long does it take to fall in love?

Question

My bf of 4 months and I were joking around and he said "I love you, but Im going to throw you over the balcony." I know its too early to say I love you, that was the first he said it. i got all excited and he said he didnt mean it that way. He likes me A LOT but not love, that takes time. He will tell me when he loves me.

I thought he did bc, hes been much more into me and our rs lately. He introduced me to all his friends and siblings, he met my parents, he helped me move homes, find a new job, buys me surprise gifts all the time, called me pretty after 4 months of dating before it was always cute! He even told me im unique and there is no one else like me. He constantly wants to hang out, and ive spent all weeknights at his place last week. When he went out of town he said it may sound lame and girlish but he was going to miss me and would call. He even left me a shirt of his while he left bc I love his scent! Are these things a man would do if he is NOT in love? All my friends get guys that fall in love with them after 3 months, but.it seems hr may take awhile. What gives?

Idk if he's in love but he definitely cares about you a lot and is doing the things that a bf should do.  I know its exciting right now but dont push him to try to say that he loves you. Guys are different, they need time and it hasn't been long enough for him yet. But these are all good signs! I can relate though, i fall very quickly and want the guy to be on the same page with me but sometimes thats not the case and thats ok, just give it more time.

Love does NOT say I am going to throw you over the balcony at the same time he says I love you.  What you have is a person who is courting you.  Give it a few more months and when the newness wears off see how different he acts.

Hey ill put my 2 cents in, I dated a girl for 2 years and I thought I was happy and i was going to love her but it never just happened, I mean you cant fall inlove with just anybody, but I met a girl about 2 months ago and I knew after about a month ive fallen completely inlove with her, its all about who that person is, and there are people on this earth that are truley made for eachother and im lucky that I found that person but its not a set time it could happen in a day it could never happen

There is no timeline to fall in love but its always quick
why do you think "love at first sight" is a clichÃ©??
it happens all the time and its real love
its not what someone says its how they treat you and if you are the most important part of his life then that is love
