If you're saying that the only way for women to win, by your definition, is for the whole species to lose something very important to its existence, I agree with your hypothesis. By the way, there are very important reasons why women get battered or killed by their partners. Many (certainly not all) of these reasons involve enablement or provocation by the women themselves. It's true.

Let's take the Rice case as an example: Janay Rice (nee Palmer) approached her then fiance Ray Rice in a threatening manner and he reacted violently as a form of self defense, but not before she could spit on him. If she would spit on him, as she apparently did, what else might she have done? Punch him and perhaps put an eye out? Each of us, no matter who assaults us, has the right to defend ourselves! That's what Ray did in the video.

Women will continue to challenge men in various ways, seemingly vying for the power (usually physical dominance) that men now possess. When this happens, and when men should protect what is theirs, they should do so, no matter by what means. In this context, hitting a woman is NOT always wrong - despite what Vice President Biden says.

I think when some boys see the real consequences of punching out your girlfriend, it will make some think twice. Of course, it won't apply to everyone but if it stops any domestic abuse - and I'm hopeful that it will, it would be helpful.
