If it turns out to be cancer, do not worry about the financial means of paying the pills. Hospitals and other non-profit have financial assistance programs for those going through treatments.

Myself I was diagnosed with cancer twice this year! I was so grateful that a hospitals financial aid program helped paid for my surgeries and post treatments.

Some medical bills in my life I have no been able to receive financial assistance, so I paid it off gradually. You just have to speak with your billing office what you can pay at time.

I think having the support from my friends and family while going through cancer has helped me. You don't have to talk about the cancer, but I liked that my friends were reaching out to me. Some wrote cards, others prayed, and some just spent time with me at home.

It is ok to talk with a therapist about this. Before my 1st surgery I had an irrational fear that I could not stop crying about.

There is absolutely no possible way a person can diagnose themselves with ovarian cancer by the symptoms. The symptoms are all ordinary things that everyone has on occasion - bloating, feeling full, constipation, bladder problems. Usually when people have ordinary symptoms, they have an ordinary problem. Your mom is making a wild guess, and the odds that her guess is correct are close to zero.

One step at a time. You don't need to worry about how to handle cancer unless she gets diagnosed with cancer some day.

Cancer is never diagnosed based on just symptoms.

There are other things that cause simmilar symptoms to ovarian cancer.

There is a strong possibility this is not cancer.

    wait for a diagnosis.
