so i work in retail (first retail job ever) and at it we have a basket for 75% off items i always dredd when someone comes to my register with items from that basket

how i do percent is

original price x 75% - original price = sale price

but this only works if something is a solid number like $7.00 or $7.50 if i try this with a item marked $5.05 i get a weird decimal number back is there a easier way to find out the percent off i would really appreciate it
