how long does it take to lose 20 lbs?

im pretty strict with my diet and exercise but over the cousre of this year works has gotten in the way of that and i have gained 20lbs im 5'4 22 year old male and i used to weight between 132 to 135lbs

i know what i need to do in my diet as i have lost weight like this before my diet is

no carbs except from fruit and vegetables with lots of protein and i will do mostly cardio with resistance moves. How long would it take for me to lose this weight

    To lose 20 pounds, it would realistically take 1 week to lose 1 to 2 pounds, so 10-20 weeks (or 2-4 months) to lose the weight. However, that said, it could go more quickly than that as well.

    Welcome to manhood and reduced metabolism :-) Ideally, 2lbs. per week is a healthy, normal weight loss. So in your case, about 2 months. Be careful with the all protein thing, high protein diets can affect liver function and it's better just to avoid high fat foods and limit your calorie intake overall. *Anyone* can lose weight by exercising and reducing calorie intake. The difference is being able to keep it off and that means staying on a healthy and normal - that's sustainable - once you reach your goal weight. That's most likely why you regained the weight.
