Can I bring my penny board on the air plane?

Update:

I'm going from San Francisco to Indianapolis for school and I want to bring my pennyboard. Could I bring it as a carry on or should I put it in my suitcase?

You can take your pennyboard on the airplane with you, but depending on the airline's carry-on guidelines, it may count as a separate piece of hand-luggage. I think most airlines would count it as a "personal item" like if you were to take a pillow or something like that. The only thing I can think of is that it would need to be securely stowed in the cabin, which means under the seat in front of you or in the overhead compartment. Check on the airline's website under carry-ons and see what their rules are. If all else fails, just throw it in your suitcase.
