what is a good job for a middle aged woman with no higher education?

my mom hates her job and i hate her being there. she wants to quit but doesn't think she can find another job because of her age.

it cant be under $10 an hour.

    Hourly rate is only one possible way to get paid. She could be a waitress and get paid in tips and the income will vary, but it could be enough.

    And she could be a manager at a fast food restaurant and get paid a salary.

    Sorry there aren't many options for work other than sales or restaurants. All the manufacturing went out of the country and services are what's left.

    Does she have a nice body? Maybe she could work at a strip club. I hear they make a lot of tips.

    She may be right, age discrimination can be a factor. Some night school course that builds on here existing knowledge would help marketability.

    Really hard to make a guess for you not having a clue as to what she now does and is capable of. Applying for jobs that promise to to contact the current employer, while sh continues to work is the safe way to test the waters.

    age is not the major issue. Work experience, qualifications, etc are what counts. unless she gets job training in something other than what she is currently doing, she's probably not going to find anything better
