Below you will find a number of itineraries, i.e. activities that you can do in the same place.

    WHAT TO DO IN LONDON

    ____________________

    For the following itineraries visit:

    # Monday - Visit the South Bank: spend a day along the River Thames.

    # Tuesday - The Royal, the Real, the Ritz and the Glitz: Buckingham Palace, Mayfair and Finsbury Park.

    # Wednesday - London Transformed: Olympic Park and Docklands

    # Thursday - Living it up in London's West End!

    # Friday - Shopping in London.

    # Saturday - Torture, Food and Drink.

    Here are several individual suggestions....

    # Portobello Market

    http://www.portobellomarket.org/howtogetthere.htm

    9-6.00,Free.Tube: Ladbroke Grove, Westbourne Park

Quintessentially British, Portobello Market is located in Notting Hill, famous district where the Afro-Carribbeans mix it up with the posh white heroine chique. Expect to find antiques, knick-knacks, expensive fashion and plenty of places to eat..

    325 Portobello Road, Kensington, Greater London W10 5; *

    # Borough Market

    http://www.boroughmarket.org.uk/page/3020/Visit+us

    Thu-Sat; 11-5,Free.Tube: London Bridge

Eugenic society of vegetable lovers. Food-lovers paradise. Sucks in the highest quality food stock from all around the world, and then sells it to the highest bidders. An unbelieveable experience, whether you're looking for ingredients for a meal or you want to sample a tasty snack. Also has some rather good pubs located in its surrounds..

239 Borough High Street, Camberwell, Greater London SE1 1; *

    # Columbia Road Flower Market

    http://columbiaroad.info/

    Sun, 8-3.00,Free.Tube: Hoxton Train Station

The most enchanting and beautiful markets, every Sunday morning mind, so you'll have to be up early. Listen to the cheeky cockney banter of the vendors, keen to shift their stock and get back home, and then later go for a coffee in one of the many coffee houses dotted around..

    3 Ezra St, Londres E2 7RH; *

    # Olympic Park

    9-5.00,Free.Tube: Pudding Mill Lane

Visit the viewing tower to get marvellous views of London, if you have your swimming gear you might be able to take a dip in the Olympic Pool, plenty of play equipment for children, and you can take a stroll round the various stadia that were built. Stratford Shopping Centre is a stone's throw away.

The Greenway, Marshgate Lane, Stratford, Greater London E15 2PJ; *

    # Tate Modern

    10-6.00,Free*.Tube: London Bridge; Waterloo; Southwark

It is possibly the place to go to, if you have any time free in London. Situated in the old coal factory on the South Bank it hosts some incredible exhibitions, the most striking of which is always located in the museum's huge turbine hall. And when I say huge I mean huge. Well worth a visit, and I'd check the book shop out too..

    Bankside, London SE1; 020 7887 8888
