US Jobless Claims Drop To 280,000. Is this why the GOP decided to start talking about their made up Benghazi scandal again?
Employers added only 142,000 jobs to their payrolls in August, snapping six consecutive months of job increases above 200,000.
The jobless claims report showed the number of people still receiving benefits after an initial week of aid fell 63,000 to 2.43 million in the week ended Sept. 6. That was the lowest level since May 2007.

People need to understand that there is no direct connection between new jobless claims and the unemployment rate. Even when the unemployment rate was at its lowest point in the past 10 years, there were still over 300,000 new jobless claims.

I don't think that's why but it's a good observation. They are obsessed with "getting" Obama or Clinton or both over Benghazi. Now they are holding their (10th!?!) new investigation. Every investigation they have been forced to admit that they could find no wrongdoing or negligence against either. Hillary's the big focus. They're so scared of her they are desperate to find something, anything, to bring her down.
I don't think any of them know the adage that says the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. They are truly pathetic.

The GOP is STILL willing to talk about why the US Jobless rate fell to Jimmy Carter levels after Princess Pelosi and Prince Harry lied their way into office....And the similarity between Hillary's Benghazi and Bill's Black Hawk Down....Only Democrats want certain topics "off the table"

1)
64,000 left the Civilian labor force
Only 16,000 net new jobs, including part-time
Only 80,000 fewer unemployed (but 280,000 no longer receiving benefits)
Real hourly compensation falling WHILE total costs of production rise (how could that be?)
2) AGAIN, you will cite exactly zero "GOP claims" about Benghazi for which the Obama administration is not the source.

Not at all. The "made up Benghazi scandal" came to light because a whistleblower finally ratted Benghazi Hils out when he told the media that her Chief of Staff was the staple remover.

110 million or about 33-35% of this country is using government money (tax payer money) to live on. Unemployment is probably at least 10-18% mostly because the government is paying people not to work. Those numbers are false

Summer always has a downturn in claims.. You have construction jobs, farming jobs and a million others specific for this time of the year.. Now about Benghazi, don't you find it a little discerning that KIllary (D-Bag) Clinton had her top aides destroy "embarrassing" documents?
I find that just a little troubling since she will be running for president..
Have a nice day kid!

Why will Liberals refuse to acknowledge the report that shows the labor participation rate---among working age adults---is just as low as it was during the Great Depression? We aren't experiencing an economic recovery. When their unemployment checks run their course-----they simply refuse to count them as-----unemployed. There IS economic improvement. But, I am far more worried about our economic health. I see NO reason to brag about a statistic-----wearing blinders that mask the real suffering.

Declining jobless claims are a reflection of our contracting work force. Millions have opted out of the labor force, deciding to loaf and mooch instead. Good little Democrats.

The statistic by itself is meaningless. Labor participation rate is more indicative of what you're implying. It hasn't been this low since the Great Depression.
