Dont feel like typing up the whole story but basically (im in college) i was working on a project with a box cutter, slit my thumb, nurse sent me to the er for stitches and they used glue. Now, they said dont put anything over the glue and dont get your thumb wet. But I dont remember how long I have I have to wait before i can wash it or put a band aid over it?

That's cyanoacrylate. Try not to get it wet for five days. If you get it wet, don't panic, but if the wound re-opens, you will need to have it closed again.
