Just because they "work closely" with alcohol doesn't mean they're drinking it non-stop every day.

I know a bartender who never drinks while he works and rarely drinks even when he's not at work. He eats healthy meals and exercises every day. That's how most people stay healthy

They work hard. Very hard. There is no standing around for a barmtender....

Its a busy place; they run around all day serving, stocking, clearing, being shouted at, remembering the correct second orders,

settling tabs, listening to drunken chatter, and being asked silly questions all day...

Same forma as an Emergency room doctor's, perhaps?

    Does that answer your question?

Same way as anyone else. Serving alcohol does not mean you drink it at work. In fact, in most places, drinking at work is a big no-no.

as a beverage professional, you don't want to become a cliche.
