XP version 2.6 will work with Windows 7. You can also use all the extras created for the regular XP version (v2.1).

This XP version was developed for low-end Vista computers that didn't have the graphics capabilities needed by the regular Vista Movie Maker (v6,0). It can do everything every other XP version can do - except capture directly from a camera or camcorder. You'd have to manually download your videos to your computer. This is easy to do: plug the camera/camcorder into your computer, go to Start>Computer and right click>Open or View Files on the camera icon, then using the Windows Explorer along the left side, click on and drag the files from the pane (the big area in the middle with all the files in it) into the folder you want them saved to in the Videos library.
