Are there any uses for social insurance number when you work outside of Canada permanently?
Since I don't have credit card and the phone social insurance number letter that asks for money doesn't work, should I just stop bothering with the SIN debt letters?
2 AnswersCredit6 years agoCan I connect a PS vita to Dell E6320?
On Notebookcheck it says the laptop has a "HDMI port" (not sure if it is output or input) therefore I'm not sure if it works with a PS vita.
1 AnswerLaptops & Notebooks7 years agoShould you always wear glasses or take them off when reading?
I've searched yahoo answers but the answers seem to contradict each other.
One theory says taking off glasses when reading so eye muscles that you don't use when looking with glasses would get exercise.
Another theory says glasses simply prevents your eyesight to get worse, therefore always wear them except when sleeping /showering.
Does anyone know which is correct here?
2 AnswersOptical7 years agoAre there any free video makers that are easy to use, want to upload videos to youtube?
Used to create videos through xp windows movie maker but now I'm using win7 and the new one isn't as easy to use as xp's...
Now I'm using stupeflix which can make videos easily but the sounds would trail off in the first 2 seconds.
1 AnswerSoftware7 years agoDuring high school I took art class ever year but never anything better than 74%, and now I'm 30.?
Since taking art class as elective class every year back then meant about thousands hours of practice, always having C+ or barely made it to B meant talent is more important.
While I did like drawing and doodling back then, people began to say you should draw like the others (who are talented), and eventually I lost interest in doodling for a long time.
Now I got lots of free time at work (it's low paid so...), and I bought a sketch book. But when I picked up a pen(cil), I always feel "compelled" when I try to draw. Should I just give up since I'm 30 and thousands of practice already made no difference?
BTW, 10 000 hours of practice had been debunked so don't use it as argument.
3 AnswersDrawing & Illustration7 years agoIs exploration in rpg getting more restricted than before?
Back then in video games, there were spells that you can use to pass through wall, or spells that make you fly / levitate, you can climb to the top of the mountain, and many other exploration feats.
But now in these kind of games you could do at most is doing a mini jump....
Will it get better in this gen?
2 AnswersVideo & Online Games7 years agoAre there any wrpg that you can do "monster climbing" NOT BY QTE?
Like in dragon dogma or finaln fantasy 15 (although this hasn't been out yet so I'm not sure whether it's qte or real climbing)?
There are games like witcher 2, resident evil 4 (I know it's not wrpg) and such that has climbing scenes but they're composed of qtes.
1 AnswerVideo & Online Games7 years agoCopyright laws about music from game demos?
Do you have the rights to have the music files saved in your pc after you delete the game demos? This is not asking whether you'll get caught or not, it simply asks whether it's legal or not to hold the music after uninstalling the demo
5 AnswersLaw & Ethics7 years agoLaptop questions. Does anyone know if an i3 3110m bottleneck 850m ddr3?
I've searched around internet but there is no direct answer. Most answers on internet just say buy desktop or get i5/i7 or buy real quad-core i7 laptops.
Does anyone know? Even benchmark for i3 seems to be rare.
2 AnswersLaptops & Notebooks7 years agoHelp me find an old game which was released around 1999~2000?
Hi, it had been a while so I couldn't remember the name of the game's demo.
The game is an isometric action rpg game, the main character starts with sword. The first town gets a stripper you can talk to and if you choose one choice, she would stop talking to you.
If I remember correctly, the character models look better than arcanum & baldur's gate 1&2.
The only monsters I fought were snakes, they were pretty hard to been seen, and there were only a few snakes unlike hack & slash such as diablo. I can only remember this much from the demo. Does anyone know what the game is?
1 AnswerToys7 years agoI want to buy a low budget laptop. 4200u vs 3337u pc, which one is better for the price?
HP ENVY 14-k030TX i5 4200U/4G/500GB+24SSD/Nvidia740M-2G (about 590$ tax included)
ASUS S46C i5 3337U / 4G / 750GB+24GB SSD / GT 740M 2G (about 536$ tax included)
Which one would be better for light gaming?
I only play games sold on gog, gamersgate and some Japanese visual novels that don't require steam/origin/uplay platform so don't seem to need a high end pc. Witcher 3 would probably be a new system killer so wouldn't bother with it for now.
Any help would be appreciated.
1 AnswerLaptops & Notebooks7 years agoReading inspirational stories make me feel more depressed and life feels pointless?
It seems whenever I read some people's success, the material confirms me being inferior than others due to lack of talent and/or money. I'm at my 30s and found there is nothing I can do to change the situation.
Without talent, I can only work as a security guard working 300+ hours a month earning less than $1,000 monthly. The capital society is about competition, not cooperation. Either talented people with hard work or people with family background through crony capitalism would be considered successful or at least accepted.
I'm neither smart nor athlete, but clumsy, unlucky, short, unhealthy, forgetful, and have many other disadvantages. Nothing seems working unless I win lottery top prize but even that seems to be rigged in my country. (no winner's photos had ever been shown)
Is there still hope in life? Please don't refer me to inspirational stories like Nick Vujicic because disability pension in German is higher than 70% of workers' wage in my nation. People studies for years to become civil service workers which roughly earn the same as German disabilty pension. Many who fail several times eventually commit suicide all the time here.
Don't talk about religions 'cuz they only wanted $ when I attempted forcing myself to believe in them. Most of times people would say "hang in there" but other than miracle (winning lottery top prize) the rest of my life would still be lived as a wage slave. Is it pointless to live?
1 AnswerPsychology7 years agoI think there is something called bad luck, how to prevent it?
Hi, last three months I've numerous parts of motorcycle breaking down (about 7 parts), my pc got fried (both motherboard and ram), my air conditioner also got fried, I bought 1 comic book and 1 novel and they both had ripped pages, then some foreign workers began fighting outside my workplace so I called ambulance. They ran off before ambulance came so I'm afraid they may come back to revenge. Other people work here for more than decades never encounter these kind of fights.
Is there some way to avoid bad luck?
