Could I push-start my automatic Nissan Maxima 2000?
Yes I understand this is not typically possible with an automatic, but the vehicle does have the ability to put it into "1st" and "2nd" gear with the shift lever, so I'm wondering if this would change anything.
Say you were to push it in neutral to say 10-15 mph and switch it to "1st" with the shifter, would it start? I'm guessing no still, but I figured I'd ask out of curiousity.

Pretty much all automatics can be put into first and/or second with the lever, and they still won't start.

NO push starting a front wheel drive automatic Nissan is not possible. Engine has to turn to operate the transmission oil pump to engage the planetary gears bands and clutches.
