Also...lets say i have a fever and i just need to rest and take care of myself for a day at home and i cant go to work..anytime we call in sick she wants a doctors note...can she do that?? What if i dont have insurance? What if i dont need to go to the doctor, its just a little bug i caught? (Mind you i work at a dollar store and ive been there for almost a year) i just wanna know if its wrong for her to do that cause i believe it is...i have one more thing...my roomate and i work at the same store at the same times..during orientation she said no bfs/gfs or relatives working together..we got a complaint from one of our coworkers saying we were together And the manager split us up..its more convienient for us to work the same time cause i just have my car.. But the coworker who complained has a sister in law that works with her; same time also..can i call corporate on that cause i feel that our manager didnt say anything about that cause the coworker that called on us is the managers bff so opinions please! Here is the truth, and it's something that you weren't prepared for in school, where the myth is perpetuated that everyone should be treated the same. If you're a good, dependable worker, your boss will be a lot more understanding when you have a family emergency or you're sick. If you seem to be slacking off or taking too much time off, she'll ask for verification. If you act like an adult and talk with her about the transportation issue, she'll be a lot more help than if you whine "It's not faaaaaaaaaaaaair!"

You sound like your just out of high school and not very knowledgeable and have poor work habits to boot. No manager wants an employee who will simply look for reasons not to come to work, why did you take the job if you do not want to work? I know there are many young people with much better work habits than you have and I would terminate you and look for someone who wants to work and not just when it is convenient for them.

You need to find the law where it says managers can't be jerks and respectful, then link it here.

Fact is: there isn't one, and you can in fact quit. You don't have to like it. Businesses don't care if you don't like it or you think it's unfair.

Everything you asked about is perfectly legal. In fact, you can be straight out fired for any of it.

The job of the manage is to manage. If you don't like it you should get another job.
