Studying in Another Province: Student Loans?

I want to obtain my certification as a Paramedic (EMT). However, the programs differ from province to province; you can obtain certification in one province (like Alberta), but that wouldn't necessarily make you qualified to work in another (BC or Ontario).

If I wanted to study in another province, travel there and live there, would I be able to obtain a personal loan for this? What do you think is the best thing to do in this situation?

First of all, we have labour mobility for Paramedics in Canada. Once you get your initial license, you can transfer to other provinces very easily. I'm licensed as a Paramedic in three provinces ... very straight forward.

Contact the Student Loan agency in your home province. In BC it happens to be https://studentaidbc.ca/

I was under the impression that you had to retake tests and whatnot, and that EMR and EMT programs differ from province to province. For PCPs and ACPs, though, I'm unaware of what is involved.

    Thanks for the response.
