been taking the pill for seven days and had unprotected sex. not sure if he even finished tho.. what are my chances of being pregnant?

also, when should I take a pregnancy test? I don't want to wait to see if I miss my period because that wouldn't be for a couple weeks.

Hi! The leaflet in your birth control packet has instructions with how to take the pills. However, a common thing among birth control pills is that you should start it on day 1 of your period for it to be effective right away (i take Yaz and this is how i was instructed by my obgyn)

If you take it on day 2-5 of your period, extra protection during sex is required the first 7 days of taking the pill because it isn't right away effective.

You shouldn't skip days and should take the pills the same time. Any missed pills even if you were able to catch up on it lessens the pill's effectiveness.

Based on these facts, could you say you were fully safe during sex? But then again no contraceptive is 100% effective. Just keep that in mind.

You will have to wait to miss your period to take a pregnancy test because that's when your pregnancy hormones will be sufficient to test positive if you are pregnant.
