Art exhibition cancelled in London as leftists protest it as racist?
The same group that the police and social services feared would shout them down as racist in Rotherham, as 1400 girls (minimum) were sexually exploited by Pakistani Muslims.
Free speech died a long time ago here in the UK.
A lot of these answers, this isn't just about people claiming to be offended and complaining because they don't like it.
They are saying they don't like it and nobody is allowed to see it, the exhibition however distasteful was completely legal and has been in many other countries and received good reviews.
People have the right to be offended, they don't have the right NOT to be offended. Artist freedom of expression is a bedrock of any successful country.
With this oxymoronic belief, and subsequent censorship, I could claim you being offended and censoring is an affront to modern western civilization and offends me.
Why are African immigrants feelings more important than mine ?

For starters I do not see what this has to do with Rotherham. These protesters appear to mostly be Black Africans whereas in Rotherham it was Pakistani Muslims. Nor do I think the Police were "scared to be called racist" as I know people who have called the Police racist misogynist right wing bigots for years and it has never stopped the Police doing anything. Nor do I think that the whole "left wing" supports this protest (which was peaceful with no arrests made). I certainly do not support the protest as I think it important to face up to the wrongs of apartheid, which is what the exhibition is aiming for. There were no protests, as far as I am aware, when the exhibition took place in Edinburgh and the actors in the exhibition are Blacks there of their own free will. Seems a strange one to protest about really, but I really don't seem the connection with Rotherham.

The exhibition has been cancelled because blacks and other protesters did not like the negative way in how blacks were being portrayed. There were images of blacks in chains harking back to the days of slavery. There does not have to be a human exhibition to remind people of colonial rule. Everyone knows and do not need reminding all the time.

More of the same politically correct shite
if they don't like it -- they shouldn't go & see it, that doesnt mean they can prevent other people from seeing it.

I don't think for a moment the agenda here was racist. Bully boy tactics against artists is not progress, nor is it acceptable.

It was the opposite of racist, it merely tried to show what we all know happened during the slave era. It was meant to show how disgusting it all was but as usual the "R" word has been used. Whites were slaves too you know lefties. Google Irish slaves.
