What does the Bible foretell about our day?

In Matthew chapters 24 and 25, Jesus gave a sign of what our day would be like. For example, these words about deception in his name would be carried on.

(Matthew 24:4-8) 4 In answer Jesus said to them: “Look out that nobody misleads you, 5 for many will come on the basis of my name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will mislead many. 6 You are going to hear of wars and reports of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for these things must take place, but the end is not yet. 7 “For nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be food shortages and earthquakes in one place after another. 8 All these things are a beginning of pangs of distress.

Paul also shows the attitude of the people in general. It is like turning on the morning news, seeing who did what to whom.

(2 Timothy 3:1-7) 3 But know this, that in the last days critical times hard to deal with will be here. 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, haughty, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, disloyal, 3 having no natural affection, not open to any agreement, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, without love of goodness, 4 betrayers, headstrong, puffed up with pride, lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God, 5 having an appearance of godliness but proving false to its power; and from these turn away. 6 From among these arise men who slyly work their way into households and captivate weak women loaded down with sins, led by various desires, 7 always learning and yet never able to come to an accurate knowledge of truth.

Jesus' words here in Luke shows the hopelessness that many would feel about the life they were dealing with. Some would recognize that these are the last days, but not with a positive view of the coming end, but with fear of the judgment. Jesus though said that those who did see his coming as a positive change would have reason to hold up their heads, having confidence that relief was at hand.

(Luke 21:25-28) 25 “Also, there will be signs in the sun and moon and stars, and on the earth anguish of nations not knowing the way out because of the roaring of the sea and its agitation. 26 People will become faint out of fear and expectation of the things coming upon the inhabited earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 27 And then they will see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. 28 But as these things start to occur, stand up straight and lift up your heads, because your deliverance is getting near.”

Living in our day, the last days of this corrupt world systems, means it is a time to take action. Not becoming like the world, but as Peter says, ones that practice godly devotion and deeds.

(2 Peter 3:11-13) 11 Since all these things are to be dissolved in this way, consider what sort of people you ought to be in holy acts of conduct and deeds of godly devotion, 12 as you await and keep close in mind the presence of the day of Jehovah, through which the heavens will be destroyed in flames and the elements will melt in the intense heat! 13 But there are new heavens and a new earth that we are awaiting according to his promise, and in these righteousness is to dwell.

The Bible is clear when it comes to speaking about our days:

(2 Timothy 3:1-5) But know this, that in the last days critical times hard to deal with will be here. 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, self-assuming, haughty, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, disloyal, 3 having no natural affection, not open to any agreement, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, without love of goodness, 4 betrayers, headstrong, puffed up [with pride], lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God, 5 having a form of godly devotion but proving false to its power; and from these turn away.

This is exactly how we are living today, won't you agree? This Bible prophecy was writing many many years ago and is being fulfilled today. So this can give us the reassurance that other Bible prophecies will come true in the future. Like for example:

(Revelation 21:4) And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”

This is such a beautiful promise that will bring us the happiness that we always wanted. And we can find another reassurance on verse five:

(Revelation 21:5) And the One seated on the throne said: “Look! I am making all things new.” Also, he says: “Write, because these words are faithful and true.”

There is many other prophecies that are being fulfilled today. Jesus said (in Matthew 24:4-8) “For many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am the Christ,' and will deceive many. You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places.” An increase in false messiahs, an increase in warfare, and increases in famines, plagues, and natural disasters—these are signs of the end times. In this passage, though, we are given a warning: we are not to be deceived, because these events are only the beginning of birth pains; the end is still to come."

The immorality rampant in society today is a symptom of mankind’s rebellion against God. Abortion, homosexuality, drug abuse and child molestation are proof that “evildoers and impostors will go from bad to worse” (2 Timothy 3:13). We are now living in a hedonistic and materialistic society. People are lovers of themselves – “looking out for number one” – and doing what is right in their own eyes. All these things, and many more, can be seen around us every day (see 2 Timothy 3:1-4).

The fulfillment of some end-times prophecies seemed impossible until the advent of modern technology. Daniel 12:4 foretold an increase in knowledge. Some of the judgments in Revelation are more easily imagined in a nuclear age. In Revelation 13, the Antichrist will control commerce by forcing people to take the mark of the beast, and, given today’s advances in computer chip technology, the tools he will use may very well be here already. And through the internet, radio and television, the gospel can now be proclaimed to the entire world (Mark 13:10).

There can be no doubt - we are living in the days that precede the coming of the Antichrist and the Great Tribulation.

Armageddon (Earth destroyed by fire). Tribulations, people humbled, New Jerusalem established. Christ returns, millennium, Earth glorified. All foretold in scripture. What's happening now is what I call the rush to Armageddon, where everybody is hurrying the fulfillment of prophecy, though horrendous be the consequences.

It tells the Christian to continue to build Gods Kingdom of love which Christ started when He was here. It says that few people will find this Kingdom and the world will remain in sin until it destroys itself.

At the last minute Jesus will return as King to His Kingdom and those who are faithfully building it.

It only tells stories of dread unless we change our ways, how hard is that to understand our selves, we watch governments make wars and let tax paying corporations destroy everything good and pollute our planet just so they can sell goods to make money to pay their taxes and help make "on the take politicians" more rich!!!!!! No actual gods or devils ever existed anywhere outside of any ones inculcated minds!!! Man made up god so they could be the devils!!!

It does mention "the End of Days" but in such allegorical language that it is more abstruse than a politician's promise.

The bible has never foretold anything, and won't tell you anything about "our day". Post-diction accounts of "prophecies coming true" are just that: post-diction.
