Where can I interact with guinea pigs?

Question

I want a guinea pigs but I have only held one once. I have done hours of research, I have the money, and I am responsible enough but before I get a guinea pig I want to interact with one to see how they act and stuff. I do not have any friends with guinea pigs and there are no guinea pigs at my local animal shelter

I am serious about getting a guinea pig, just not one from a pet store. Would they still let me hold it?

At Petco they have a small animal 'get together' every year. You can go and learn about all the little munchkins!  Plus if you're really interested in possibly purchasing a guinea pig, ask a Petco employee and most likely they will let you hold one. If you're underage they will probably say you need a parent with you. Good luck! I have four..

i recommend rats also, but Guinea pigs are good too, i'm glad u can afford all the stuff for it, good job ;). you can go to pet stores and ask one of the employes if you can hold one.

Have you checked your area for rescues?  Take a look at www.petfinder.com and see if there are any guinea pig rescues in your area.
