How to get the battery icon back into the tool bar?
My computer used to have the battery symbol in the corner with the clock, bt somehow yesterday I got rid of it. Now it won't let me put it back (the check box is faded out. How do I get it back? (I can still click to have the clock/volume/wifi displayed, but not power)
I tried opening the power plan section from the control panel, but there's no option to have it displayed from there.
I really need this icon, because my computer is old and the battery goes quick and without much warning. I have to keep an eye on it whenever it's unplugged!
I have an HP Pavilion from 2007, if that helps?
So...restarting the computer reset the options.

Hi
Right click on clear area of taskbar at the very bottom of your screen select properties/Notification Area/Customize/find the battery icon and select Show icon and notifications.
The icon should appear on the taskbar.
Hope this helps.

The computer brand and age does no good. The current installed operating system would get you some answers that would help.
