Here's a question about religion for you?

At first this might seem like a strange question but bear with me. Imagine you were at an auditorium. Suddenly out of thin air a pig materialises onto the stage. You point this out to the person next to you but he comments he isn't seeing a pig, he sees a cow. People in the front row say they see a dog, a bunch of people in the corner think they see a moose and a whole bunch of people say they see nothing at all on the stage.

This is kind of how religion is. Many people think that because a lot of people have had some kind of supernatural experiences that means there's got to be something out there. But in fact as in the above scenario because a lot of people had mutually contradictory experiences it's not a reason to think the supernatural is real it's a reason to think something else is going on.

You wouldn't think that a pig actually had materialised onto the stage just because you saw it happen since lots of other people saw something different or saw nothing. You would probably doubt all of their experiences including your own and think that some kind of hallucinogen had been released into the auditorium.

Update:

Ƒɾąɳƙ Ƹïɳᶊʈҽïɳ - I suppose the question is what do you think about this analogy?

I think it largely explains the complications made by humans that make life very difficult to understand.

If we complain and fight with each other on how we are "sure" that there is a pig or cow or anything else ,then there is bound to be "war for religion"(current hot topic) But if we accept that it doesn't matter what is on the stage or if the stage is vacant, if we only remember why we are sitting together in the auditorium , then life can be much more simpler. Hope you understood what i am trying to say.

That really wasn't a question so much as an exposition... but I totally get your point. We must find this auditorium where they are pumping hallucinogens into the central air system immediately, and host the most epic rave in history.

<edit> ANALOGY?! So... you're saying the magical trippy auditorium isn't a real place? That means we can't have the rave... you lied to me! I will never trust anything I read on the internet ever again. You have destroyed my faith in humanity, sir. Shame on you.

Some kind of hallucinogen had been released into the auditorium? Gee, why would that be? To cover up the truth? Here is the truth which came first:

    Ro 1:19 -

....because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse,.....

    Now here comes the hallucinogen:

    Evolution.

Just like the bile, no story is too boring to be retold, they are all forms of entertainment like magic and imaginary beings!!! No actual gods or devils exist anywhere outside of any ones inculcated minds!!! Inculcation coming from the same con men who stand before you in church and preach blah blahs at you then after their last amen they go to the back room of the church to have their way with little boys butts while omniscient loving and caring, do nothing god, just watches!!! OOOOOHHHHH JEESUS!!! BEING HIS LAST WORDS OF HIS WORK DAY!!!

-I- wouldn't, personally, however, you can bet your *** that, in america at least, some idiot would stand up and start praising the holy [insert farm animal here] as a sign of christ's inevitable and imminent return...ugh.

Some people just lack critical thinking skills...others just get pulled along for the ride and don't ask questions...people who think like us don't attach themselves to baseless nonsense.

That is the confusion of the devil. (and false Christians). True saved Christians see the same thing. The Bible was written by The Holy One through 40 people over 1500 years and it all points to the same lamb (on your stage.)

religion is not like that at all

god talks to people it is real not imagined or a delusion
