Relying on biased sources for your information like this should make a THINKING person wake up! I did YEARS ago. What's your excuse? You article works hard to trump up attitude over voter ID laws. Nowhere in there did I see special restrictions for Democrat voters. Why is that? The real reason why Dems scream voter suppression is due to their soft bias of low expectations of their own voting base.
Some early vote times have been shortened as so to give polling workers more time to process votes and get set up for regular voting. Funny how rational explanations like that get left out of Democrat complains against Republicans. Why is that?

In earlier times, not all that long ago-really, voting was done at the polling place only, on election day only, and those who were casting a ballot had to show their driver license or state ID card. This was in the middle to late 1960s.
there was no "early" vote. Absentee voting was done but only under certain circumstances such as military deployment, illness to severe to leave the hospital, and things of that nature. Absentee voting was not just a convenience for those who were too lazy to go to the polls.
There was not a problem with voter ID then. People knew that it was required and those who voted took the paperwork along with them.
By short voting hours I presume that you mean 16 hours is not long enough for the polls to be open?

As we speak the Libertarians in Columbus, the capital of Ohio, are fighting the Republicans in court to remain on the ballot. The case should be decided tomorrow or the next day. Most of these cases in most states the court has decided in favor of the Libertarians despite that the Republicans have money and popular support from elected officials in their party. This is what Republics are all about. Money and representatives are not supposed to remove individual rights for no good reason.

When you take a poll of the American public and ask the simple question, "Are you in favor of voter IDs?"... the answer is overwhelmingly in, yes... and that includes Democrats and minorities. Democrats try to muddy the water with allegations that have no foundation in reality.
Why would ANYONE logically be against voter ID?

As long as any given person within the USA is required to show proper identification to any given police office at will, Republicans will do whatever they can to make sure that's a requirement. That way, liberals will have even more problems illegally stealing elections. Naturally, that behooves America.

You have to show an Id to walk into the DNC convention.
And all the Obama children gladly do so. What's the problem. Are they all a bunch a racists at the DNC?

The GOP has been pushing this nonsense for decades under the guise of "voter fraud".
Never has a case of voter fraud been found to be true, but the scream it every time they lose a district they thought was in the bank.

All of the states with voter ID laws have an option for free ID. Why do you think Democrats are so stupid they can't comply with that?

Yes
It'll happen till they suddenly realize that their disenfranchisement of the elderly is hurting them, as the Great Depression/Good War generation has died off. Then suddenly they'll make it easier for such people to vote.
