JWs claim that only 144,000 people from the time of Christ till now have Jesus as their Mediator. They say that only those going to Heaven are in the New Covenant Jesus inaugurated at the Last Supper, when He invited the disciples to partake of the emblems of this Covenant for a Kingdom. This means that there is less than one per cent of JWs today who claim to be in that Covenant for a Kingdom. The rest claim to be without the anointing of 'holy spirit' but they boast that they are going to live forever on a paradise Earth with Jesus and the 144,000 ruling over them, IF they keep faithful to the Watchtower Organization and are baptized JWs come Armageddon.

But Romans chapter 8 proves that they cannot call themselves Christians if they are not anointed (indwelt) with the Holy Spirit! This means they do not yet belong to Jesus. And if Jesus is not their Mediator, they have no-one to stand between their sin and the holy God!

They have a shockingly low estimation of the blessed Holy Spirit, and their view of Christ falls far short of the Bible's view. No wonder they think they do not need to be born again, from above, of the Holy Spirit as Jesus said. They do not take the words of the Word of God seriously. They think they can earn God's approval; that their own physical deaths will get rid of their burden of sin. All because they fail to grasp what the Bible says about the glorious Godhead which subsists in the three Persons of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, none of whom were created. Until they waken up to the fact that the Word of God was never created, but is the Creator (John 1:1-3) and that the Holy Spirit will not be blasphemed, they cannot claim to be Christians (although they do). They are deceived.

Being a Christian means proclaiming Jesus Lord and Savior. I'm not a fan of Watchtower theology, but I'll break bread with JWs at the Christian table under the big tent.

This is provided by a JW website. They consider themselves to be Christians. God the Judge will sort through it all. He needs no help in the judging dept.

We try to follow closely the teachings and behavior of Jesus Christ.—1 Peter 2:21.

We believe that Jesus is the key to salvation, that “there is not another name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must get saved.”—Acts 4:12.

When people become Jehovah’s Witnesses, they are baptized in the name of Jesus.—Matthew 28:18, 19.

We offer our prayers in Jesus’ name.—John 15:16.

We believe that Jesus is the Head, or the one appointed to have authority, over every man.—1 Corinthians 11:3.

However, in a number of ways, we are different from other religious groups that are called Christian. For example, we believe that the Bible teaches that Jesus is the Son of God, not part of a Trinity. (Mark 12:29) We do not believe that the soul is immortal, that there is any basis in Scripture for saying that God tortures people in an everlasting hell, or that those who take the lead in religious activities should have titles that elevate them above others.—Ecclesiastes 9:5; Ezekiel 18:4; Matthew 23:8-10.

Rom 14:4 Who are you to condemn someone else's servants? Their own master will judge whether they stand or fall. And with the Lord's help, they will stand and receive his approval.

Do you or anyone have a scripture showing that is the requirement?

1 John 4:15 says Christians are to acknowledge Jesus as God's Son, not God the Son.

So that strikes down the fake definition that one must believe Jesus is God to be considered Christian.

So why do people add to the Bible by stating you must when there is NO scripture stating so?

  • Jehovah's Witnesses are true Christians.

We are not part of Christendom which has been tainted (as Jesus said it would be) by false man-made doctrines such as the trinity doctrine and immortality of the soul, and hellfire.

Nowhere in ANY scripture will you ever find that you should believe Jesus is God in order to be a Christian

You are correct in that "Jesus IS God" is a basic, historic Christian belief. JWs twist the term into a heretical meaning, throw the word "True" in front of it, and peddle that heresy at the doorstep. But then again "Jehovah's Arian Witnesses" could perk some ears up, and forthrightness doesn't work as well as theological slight-of-hand.

Begging your pardon, please, but a Christian, at its most fundamental meaning, is a follower of Christ . Therefore, to hijack the name Christian, and then redefine it to mean those who believe that Jesus is God is not a little misleading, which is to say very misleading indeed.

Very basic belief: Christian is a disciple or follower of Christ.

I am a Christian and I am one of Jehovah's Witnesses.

JWS ARE NOT CHRISTIANS because they Equate the Archangel Michael, Jesus Christ and Satan in the same breath.

I do not even need to go to their denial of the Doctrine of the Holy Trinity, as Jesus identified in Matthew 28V19.

Or the fact that they DENY that Jesus is God, but Jesus is and I quote "a son of god"

So therefore they are saying, God has other sons, namely Satan, maybe?

That Jesus Christ DID NOT RAISE FROM THE DEAD PHYSICALLY but was raised in Spirit Form.

Doctrines of demons and devils is not even tolerated by even the other religions there are little compared to these heresies.

    God help them!

We believe the Bible and NOT false religion. Jesus said He is the Son of God, not God the Son.

Read your Bible daily like we do for truth.

Jesus’ opposers accused him of making himself equal to God. (John 5:18; 10:30-33) However, Jesus never claimed to be on the same level as Almighty God. He said: “The Father is greater than I am.”—John 14:28.

Jesus’ early followers did not view him as being equal to Almighty God. For example, the apostle Paul wrote that after Jesus was resurrected, God “exalted him [Jesus] to a superior position.” Obviously, Paul did not believe that Jesus was Almighty God. Otherwise, how could God exalt Jesus to a superior position? —Philippians 2:9.
