Can broken teeth be ground to the gum line and dentures fitted?
Pulling the teeth causes deformities on the face. I would think there is a substance that could seal off a ground down tooth to eliminate the need to extract.

You are correct in the thought that extracting teeth causes deformities. Your jaw bone will shrink over time with no teeth. There is a technique where you "grind down the teeth to the gum line and seal them" however it is not used very often. You would need Root Canal Therapy and then the teeth would be ground down and fillings placed on the top to prevent decay. Usually this is not done for numerous reasons. It is expensive and there is still a chance you will lose these teeth in the future due to decay, bone loss, etc. The preferred method would be to remove the teeth (if you need them all removed) and place a few dental implants. If there are implants in your jaw, your bone will not shrink away. You do not need to replace every tooth, but generally we would do 4 or 6 on the bottom. The top isn't as important, but implants could be placed there as well. Then you would snap on your dentures over the implants. This process is also costly, but long term will be the best option. Hope this helps!

Like what Vanessa said, it is more work trying to do root canal on those root stumps and trying to keep them in - and then making dentures on top of them.
The recommended way to go are implants and then bridges/dentures on top. This video explains it.
