Should Allan Hennings murder be our trigger?
This good and decent man, who gave of his own time to help people in need, with no ulterior motive other than compassion for people suffering, has insofar as we know, been beheaded in yet another savage display of just what a vile, merciless bunch of monsters I S are.
We have fought illegal wars, we have been in one war or another for more than 20 years, and it could be said that we (the west) may in part be to blame for the likes of I S forming.
But now, I believe that we need to act.
By act, I mean all the nations involved need to launch a massive ground offensive, hundreds of thousands of soldiers will be needed, divisions of armour, regiments of artillery.
An old fashioned search and destroy with massive numbers. Irrespective of borders crossed.
At home we should rout them all. Do you agree, or do you think we should give them a good ignoring which we have been doing for so long with no benefit.

Patrick, this is a very difficult question to give a right answer to. Of course I want to destroy this evil which at the moment is spreading the like the Black Plague.
What holds me back at this moment of time, is why are those Arab Nations in the middle of this atrocity not offering us the full support in fighting these monsters. In fact the way I understand the situation, IS is even financed at local source. What the hell is all that about?
Bombardment from the air, may not be the answer to some people, but what about increasing the air power and give them something to think about.
The other big problem here, is the fact that we are not fighting an Army, but a collection of evil criminals which words can not describe.
Yes we all want to see some kind of troops on the ground, but this needs to be with a full support of the Arab Nations.
Now to the question, where is the UN on this matter. Surely this has become a world problem and it needs urgent attention.
Patrick, we have never witnessed such atrocities and thinking back, did Blair and Bush let the Genie out of the bottle ?
Have a nice day

Dream on. What you're talking about is an invasion of Syria and Iraq. We simply don't have sufficient reason or manpower to commit to a major land war like that.

They are spread over hundreds of miles of desert and keep moving. There are not hundreds of thousands of soldiers in any of the Coalition armies.
