Ontario - I discovered that my car had a dead battery, I borrowed my friend's vehicle for the day. I collided with a pedestrian causing serious threshold injuries.
How will this loss be adressed.

It's going to get complicated whenever injuries are involved, even more so when the injuries are over the threshold.
You'll have to deal with any charges that were laid, and the vehicle owner and their insurer will deal with the rest. You'll probably be asked to provide a statement under oath, maybe more than once, and the insurance company will take it from there.
Crazily enough, this isn't really your problem. You didn't have a pedestrian accident, the vehicle owner did. Even though you were driving, the owner is responsible for their vehicle and any loss or damage it causes. That's how it works in Ontario.

If they loaned their vehicle to you, they also loaned out their insurance coverages to you. If they didn't have insurance, you or your parents depending on your age will be required to pay. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. You may want an attorney. May we know more about how you 'collided' with a pedestrian?? It may help with further discussions.

Hello
That depends on what insurance they had and were you covered by the policy.
Also depends if your insurance covers you to drive other vehicles if so they will claim on your insurance
