Have the Tory's underestimated the damage to their vote that HS2 will cause in 2015?

Question

Given the very different circumstances in the UK now as opposed to the last election, one might think that every seat is vital come May 2015. 
HS2 is going to have far reaching and very damaging effects on people in many of the traditionally Tory faithful shires. I think Cameron's blind ignorance to the people that this will affect directly could prove expensive.

Not sure I think HS2 is a good or bad thing. Everything in the UK is about turning the land into a rural bastion for those that want to believe they have some stake in it. They dress in waxed jackets, green wellies and drive range rovers and in their minds are living the dream. To most people that live in overcrowded cities and towns these idiotic jokers are just greedy deluded nut jobs. Develop the country so we can all indulge in it and to hell with these warring loonies. HS2 ? perhaps not...but the land issue is getting serious in this country.

capitalists rely on the trickle down effect business doing well causes more jobs and the extra wealth trickles down so a 70 billion project will be a gravy train for business and adds extra jobs investors from all over the world will be looking to cash in Mr Cameron has been getting China involved France will be building a nuclear reactor creating jobs all of this points to Britain providing the labour everyone else cashes in as in the privatisation program foreign companies own our utilities so from being the power house of the world in the industrial revolution we have become their slaves we are China 40 years ago
