Weakness in the lower back. Suggestions?

However I search this, I often get to sciatica, but when I read 70% of sciatica symptoms, it doesn't feel like it. That said the other 30 % sounds right (weakness, tingling in feet)

I have a lower back problem, I'm passed whether it hurts or not, I've had it 18 years and after a while pain is forgotten

What I do have which I can't find an answer to, is central feeling in l5-s1 region. This feeling means I can be walking down the street and every 10 steps I'll feel myself be weak, like a tremor feeling.

If you go over a suspension bridge, and it wobbles because a couple of joggers have just past you, the bridge tremors. I get this, but it's my back. In my 20's I used to blame it on a lorry driving past. Now it's obvious, and occurs regularly

Another way to induce this tremor, is to leave a room forgetting something, then turn round to check. As I turn back and start walking, I'll wobble

This is where the sciatica forums appear relevant. They talk about loss of balance, weakness, tingling etc. I don't feel sharp pains, or pains going into my legs. I just feel weak whilst walking and doing very mundane things

My current plan is to do 100 sit ups a day, and hope building strong abdominals will bring back some strong feeling around my core

I've spoken to physios, chiropractors, and my GP, I get really blank looks when I talk about this wobbling sensation

Any ideas people?

yeah it might not be sciatica but herniated disc...and since you herniated disc might be located at your lumbar spine, the pain is usually felt around your lower back, hip, buttocks, legs..with sciatica the pain starts from your lower back and radiates or travel down to your leg to your toes. you may try doing light exercises to relieve you from pain http://familychiropracticandyou.weebly.com/blog/ex...

You should check this Sciatica Natural Treatment

    http://cure-sciatica.info/

Normally, I would not answer a question like this as my expertise is generally in medication but I had severe sciatica while I was pregnant with my 3rd child (after having had twins) and I had sciatica so bad that I was finding it difficult to walk. I tried massage therapy and physical therapy and could not take medication

I went to the chiropractor and the pain was instantly relieved. My hips and lower back were out of alignment because I had carried twins the year before. On occasion a Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) can also work but they usually only work on one joint at a time - the chiropractor will do your whole back which works faster. Anyone who does not believe in chiropractors will tell you they are quacks - don't listen.

I don't necessarily believe that chiropractors can cure things like diabetes but they can definitely relieve some types of back pain especially if a pinched nerve is involved which is usually the cause of sciatica. Try a reputable chiropractor ASAP!

First of all, people make mistakes. If this is a pattern in yourself then look to find ways to correct it. Secondly, try and flip this around. If this were your BF who made the mistake how would you want him to handle it? Personally, I go for 100% honesty. Eventually, all things come out in the wash anyway. When you withhold things from your partner that you don't want them to know it forces a wedge between you. Telling the truth will either strengthen or end your relationship. Perhaps you should not go drinking by yourself if you feel you cannot check your impulses. I am not trying to be insulting. If I decide that chocolate cake is bad for me I definitely don't go to the bakery. Above all, this has hit your self esteem big time judging by the title of your question. The first thing you will need to do is forgive yourself. It is unhealthy to beat yourself up. It is healthy to look for ways to ensure that you are not undermining your own self esteem and that you are correcting negative behavior. If you do tell him, be prepared to make up some damage. It will undoubtedly harm the trust he had in you. Your job will become to restore that trust by being 100% open and honest about your comings and goings and not putting yourself into potentially compromising situations. Good Luck =) BTW, betraying trust to get attention is definitely never a good solution to the problem.
