I have a date this saturday and i have a cold sore?

When I got a cold sore I used abreva. It's expensive but works wonders. Make sure you don't touch the sore with your hands, use fresh q-tips to apply abreva. Also don't use your tongue to mess with the sore. I know it's hard but don't continue to irritate it anymore. Apply the abreva multiple times a day. And if the rest of your lips are feeling chapped get a chapstick and use that everywhere but the sore. And then remember to toss it once the sore is gone.

Apply either witch hazel or cold sore creams regularly to the sore to help it heal. It may not be totally gone but it should be less noticeable. If you still have the cold sore when you go on your date, don't kiss on the mouth. Cold sores are very contagious while there are any signs or symptoms of one. It's safer to kiss when you don't have any signs or symptoms of a cold sore.
