Training for rugby?
My school just started a girl's rugby team and I signed up for it, though the season doesn't start until February 2015.
I've gone to all the guy's games and love the sport.
I was wondering what I should do to train and prepare for rugby?
I also have a dance background (ballet and hip hop) if that helps in anyway.
I just really want to get myself into the best shape possible for this! Thanks a lot.

Do some conditional training before the season would be ideal :)
If you're a forward, lean a bit towards weight and strength training as it'll be useful in Scrums, Rucks and Line-outs. It's quite physically demanding down there.
Well, if you're a back line, lean a bit towards speed and foot work. Sprinting would be nice as there's no point being very fast but you couldn't get that initial sprint off. Do some side steps with your friends and kicking will be beneficial.
But what remain constant regardless of your position is your fitness, passing and tackling skill. Find a training buddy and go for a jog/run to maintain your fitness. I like to go for a long jog with my friend and do some passing as we run. As you wouldn't want to drop that ball in a real game, hahaha :)
And of course keep yourself healthy and do not forget to do regular stretch and warm ups before training . Best of luck! :)
