what are the differences between autism and schizophrenia?

I have a mild form of Autism (NOT Asperger's, sadly, mine pretty much prevents me from doing anything social), and while we do not hallucinate, sometimes sounds or sights are more disturbing to us because we perceive them differently than most people. As a child, the TV volume was ALWAYS too loud for me, and I could never go to one of my father's shoots (he's into gun sports) because it would make me cry or think someone was shooting at me because it sounded so close.

SOME parts of autism seem like hallucinations to normal people because they can't hear/see/feel things the way we do. Autism just makes everything, well, WORSE! Schizophrenia is psychological. Even if you're born with it, it usually doesn't manifest until something triggers it. My uncle had his mild (now under control) schizophrenia triggered when he fought in Iraq. This was a trauma related trigger. He sometimes hallucinated, but mostly it was constant, massive anxiety and paranoia. I'm not a psychiatrist, but I've read a lot of books about mental disorders, and it seemed he was suffering schizophrenia and PTSD.

Schizophrenia, what a strange disease, ill tell you all about it.

So, here is how it works, you begin having strange evil thoughts and wierd **** starts happening. And then your mind gets blasted with all of this unnaturally occuring evil information and then you see an alien!

You spend the next month being tormented by no one in your mind because it's just a disease and that stuff doesn't actually happen. They are in your head telling you crazy **** like they are going to torture you forever.

Shadow people start jumping out, you may see a ghost or two, you see a satyr, large serpents made of light, a ufo, all kinds of stuff happens sometimes.

And then voices start telling you things that no hallucination should tell you. Like who will win the superbowl twice, and where to find things when you don't know where to look, and they know what time it is when you don't know, all kinds of stuff that makes you wonder what is up. Thats not all.

Twice visual hallucinations physically harm you, once by a horrendous shocking sensation and once by burning you, both times someone appears to you visually.

Hooded figures standing in your apartment on your way back from the store.

And once, a short time after seeing pan the satyr, a witch makes you visually hallucinate as well. And even though you wouldn't have even known he was a witch he makes it very clear that he is by yelling it in your face that he is after inducing the evil vision that he did.

You start looking at the same times on the clock over and over and over and over and over and over and over again. Like 3(emily rose) and 333(the fourth kind), over and over and over and over and over again it happens.

During your second torment, i mean psychosis because it's a disease and isn't anything else and why would i even think that because science knows better than i do, they may be in your dreams inducing extremely real nde types of experiences, hell you won't even realize that you are asleep at first it's so real and completely conscious. You'll levitate toward them even as they moan at you, it feels as though you are in the teeth of a lion and can't escape.

And you may see the future as well, that happens some.

And then you ******* lose it and kill yourself because you can't take it anymore, the torment and evil **** just becomes to much after awhile.

You should have seen this one night. I was outside and i started laughing at the eyes wide shut orgies and my spine was bent a little, it even made me gasp for air because of what it did to me. And then one night they were there and made me mentally envision dark hooded figures coming out of everywhere and stabbing me to death!

You gotta help! Aaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh! They are killing me very slowly and have harmed me for a very long time, my entire life has been shredded and burnt down to nothing! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

They are two completely different disorders. schizophrenia is phycalogical where you hear or see voice or things that are not there, hallucinations. You can be born with it or developed it for many reasons, trauma, drugs, exc exc. Autism is something you're born with when your brain doesn't work as normal peoples does, it just effects your social and learning abilities. You don't hallucinate.
