How could I give away my puppy?
My mother is messed up and hated the puppy. Once threatened to give it to a dog compound. I had enough and decided it would be better to give it back to the breeder. I got the puppy because it was to improve my personality. It had changed my life massively. When I had it and it was destructive, noisy and annoying at times I had wondered why dog owners exist. They are best friends, you find anyone who would follow you and look up to you the way a puppy dog will. When you lose a puppy you lose a best friend, sometimes arguments happen, there is stress and regrets. After all that and giving it away I no longer felt angry or tired. I felt relieved but then I know inside I felt more lonely and sadder than ever. I had spent the past four days with it and those were the best days of my life. I had wished there was someone who could tell me the things I feel after it was gone,
I hate myself and my mother especially. How could I give up my puppy?

You know that you are unselfish for giving it back when you knew it would/may not have a good life with a messed up mom.
You are feeling sad and alone, but knew it was better for the pup and that is because you loved it and were afraid for it.
Now after relief, (the pup is safe) comes anger (because you could do nothing about the circumstances) then remorse (sad that you miss the pup) But there is an option, you can walk dogs or pet sit at their house or just go and play with them (another persons dog) This will let you feel like you are helping the dog and yourself and the owner.

Feel better that you did the right thing knowing that you are a minor and live at home- when you don't you can get your own pet that you will be financially responsible for. In the meantime, find a local pet rescue non-profit to volunteer at and earn community service hours for your schooling. Homeless pets need love and caring, and it will help you to feel better buy nuturing them also. ^_^
