How to prevent sleeping laptop from waking up?
I have a laptop and I put it to sleep every night, but it randomly wakes up and makes a ton of noise.
I unplug the internet, close all programs and turn off the mouse and yet it keeps waking up.
What could be causing the laptop to wake up and how do I keep it asleep?

It is because you have a program that run’s in the background that performs its task.
What program you have that run’s in the background is beyond me and only you can figure that out because there are many programs that run in the background such as virus programs, task schedule for Windows, disk defragmenter, spy ware, malware and the like!

It could be one of your hardware or hidden application.
The best way is set to hibernate upon closing lid.
