  • How to remove Youtube timers?

I am trying to take a screenshot of a youtube vid that I have paused. However the timer (the little toolbar that shows how far you are in the vid) and the vid title are cluttering the shot.

How does a person get rid of the timer and vid title?

  • How to stop Excel from updating a cell?

How do I get excel to not insert new data into a cell? To just leave a cell alone unless certain criteria is met?

    So for example

    A1 = =RANDBETWEEN(1,9)

    B1 = IF(A1=5,A1,<leave it as is>)

I want to hit refresh until B1 displays “5” (because the conditions were met) and then let it keep that “5” after I hit refresh again multiple times and the condition are no longer true.

And having a cell reference itself and limiting the number of iterations doesn't help in this case.

  • Massive firefox slowdown?

Recently my Firefox browser has been incredibly slow.

I uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox, disabled all add ons, and ran a security sweep. And its still really slow.

Its not the internet connection because the other computers in my house still work fine. And no other computer programs on my laptop is slowed down.

A bit before Firefox started to slow down I opened and moved around some 1 gig word docs so maybe that affected memeory allocation or something.

How can I make Firefox faster again?

How can I speed my copying process up?

  • How do I save Internet Explorer session?

In firefox you can save your session with the "sessionstore" file. You can email the file to someone or open it up weeks later and you get the same session. The sessionstore file is located in the otxasmsk.default folder.

Where is the Internet Explorer storage session. Where is the folder with the file and what is the name of the file?

  • How do I move files within a folder?

I have a folder with over 500 images and I need them to be in a specific order. I have Windows 8.1

But for some reason I can't change the order of files within a folder.

There is "Sort by ..." but that is useless because I don't have time to rename 500 images.

I did a search in "My Computer" for "auto arrange" and found the function

    Disable_Windows_8.1_Explorer_Auto_Arrange[1]

which does allow me to move files around within but now the images bounce around like crazy and don't hold their position so it is impossible to put stuff in a specific order.

How can I make it so that I can move files around without them bouncing around?

  • Convert MS (Compatability mode) into normal?

I purchased a new computer so I had to get new software. I transferred over a bunch of word documents but they are listed as (comparability mode) and I think it is causing word to crash every 8 minutes.

Is there some way to convert a word document from the old (Comparability mode) into a newer word document?

And is there a way to do it to multiple documents at once (like highlighting multiple files in a folder).

    I have office 2013 and windows 8.1

  • Way to chain google maps items?

Sometimes I need to go to several places in one day and I look up directions on google maps / mapquest / etc.

Currently I have to do them one at a time and swap them out manually.

Is there some way that I can have the website remember multiple locations so you can figure out in which order to hit each location?

Or is there a website other than google or map quest that does it?

    Thanks.

  • Excell: rip numbers out?

I am doing some math in an Excell sheet.

There are several cells with equations inside like

    =C37+D37+E37

    =A1*B1

Now I want to copy and paste resultant numbers into another Excell sheet and a Word sheet, but instead of copying the actual resultant numbers they copy the equations inside.

Is there a way to modify a cell (or group of cells) so that they lose the equations inside them but retain their resultant number values?

    Or

is there some special way to copy a cell (or group of cells) so that it copies the resultant number values instead of the equation inside?

    Thank you.

  • How to recover word documents?

A few days ago I lent my laptop to a friend, they opened a word document and they erased half the stuff and then saved it.

Is there a way I can get an "older" version of my word document.

    I have Windows Vista.

I now know that you can right-click the document and choose "restore previous version" but that option simple isn't there. It is just gone.

Is there some other way to access the "restore previous version" of a document?

    Thank you.

So I am cooking a hamburger patty and a 1.5 foot high flame erupts. This obviously makes me unhappy as I don't want to set the house on fire.
