Headlight bulb not fitting?

Hello,

I have a 2000 honda accord sedan (bought used) with a headlight bulb out. When I try to replace it with a 9006 size bulb, it doesn't fit. I notice the current broken bulb says "E4" while the 9006 size bulb says "E1". They are clearly not the same size bulbs. How can I find out which replacement to get? Thanks.

The bulb type is usually etched into the headlight glass. If it says E4 on the headlight lens or the bulb itself that's what you replace it with.

Every auto store has a chart with the correct bulb listed for every vehicle. They also have sales people that should have enough brains to look up your vehicles bulbs for you. Just what's the problem dude?! Ya can't fix stupid?!

I think there are 2 bulbs in that assembly.

The low beam is a 9006, but the high beam is a 9005. Different mounts so you cant get them mixed up.

So do you have the wrong one?

Parts houses have guides to match bulbs up.

Obviously you get the same one as you took out otherwise it will not fit.
