Pancreatic alpha and beta adrenergic receptors?

Update:

In a lecture powerpoint, it saids stimulation for glucagon release is from beta adrenergic activity (NE and E). It also saids inhibition for glucagon release is from alpha adrenergic activity (NE and E). How does NE and E know to bind to alpha or beta adrenergic receptors? How does this work? Are these receptors upregulated to increase chances to bind to one or the other?

Thank you!

NE is an almost pure alpha agonist, with some beta activity. E is both a beta and an alpha agonist. Up- and down-regulation of the receptors is possible through a variety of agents.
