Why do politics go against each other?
Inside Capitol Hill:
The problem is, while running, a politician will say and act like a responsible candidate and then when they get in office they become “one of the good ole boys” that cave and become followers of the old career idiots. I say set term limits on all political seats and get the old farts out. PS. Stop trying to be politically corrects. Do what is needed. They say the word Team (Democrats and Republicans) has no I’s in it. In government there needs to be more I’s and they should vote based on their thoughts and stop voting blindly based on what the team is in favor of. It’s time to clean house and vote the career idiots out...
Most people don't realize the way the electoral system is set up in this country. Granted you have the power to elect but you lack the power to "select" and that's the problem. This election circus is only smoke in the mirrors that's why nothing never really changes on the hill unless you bring in completely independent third party candidate that's really off the wall to go in there and restore the Constitutional Republic in government and thus the power of the people in this country. Until than my dear scarlet don't expect to see any real change around you for all you are a puppet at the end of somebody else string

Because we, the people, allow it to happen.
If we were to ever decide that we've had enough of the gridlock on Capitol Hill, I guarantee that those politicians will start working together and work on our behalf.
We reap exactly what we sow.
