new garbage disposal is leaking where the metal bracket attaches to the flange.?

it fits snug and is tight. rubber gasket is in there. what could this problem be? thank you!

    It's leaking where the flange meets the sink (the stainless steel part you can see when looking in the sink). Take it all apart, clean the flange lip & sink opening good, then seal it with silicone caulk. Put the flange part together & tighten the three screws. Leave it for 24hrs. then attach the disposal & drain parts. If this is not a new unit, check the upper housing for cracks, it's very common. You may have to remove the outer collar to see the upper housing.
