Someone has up-voted Oscar's answer to this question. Please look at the page he references. It makes no mention of removing the basic chart functionality. What he is saying in effect is that yahoo is removing functionality but they don't want to tell people about it.

Let me explain what it was and why it was important. Basic Chart permitted a device like a cell phone without a modern browser to pull up charts. I used this frequently to show people charts off Yahoo. With active content charts I see only a blank screen with my handheld device.

Yahoo had the best charts on the web. They where even better than some pay-for sites such as stockcharts.com This situation has now changed.

I should also point out that the new charts have bad data. The link I posted is showing an incorrect exchange rate of 0.78 eur/usd. Programmers should have a Hippocratic oath "first do no harm". This product is defective. Roll it back.

The current mess doesn't even allow you to ask for the 200 day MA, let alone chart it with the 50 day MA and closing price! What good is this site anymore?

I have had to go to Google to get the charts I need. All I get with Yahoo is the spinning thing in the middle where the chart should appear.

I can't get any chart. The interactive flashes and then goes away. The basic chart won't load at all.

The Basic Chart NO LONGER WORKS. IF YOU DECIDE TO ELIMINATE IT, ASK YOUR USERS IF THEY WILL MISS THIS IF YOU DELETE IT. Otherwise, Yahoo will lose Users as has happened with me. Extremely Poor Planning and Execution on your part.

Today why is yahoo finance all screwed up. I cannot even get to view My Yahoo today? Did they change stuff again without telling anyone?

if yahoo issue re finance's BASIC CHARTS is gone what replaces it the closest from the web?

I can't get any charts either...none except the one on the first screen...can't change the time frame either.

Totally non functional...no tech spt..usual Yahoo..YUK ! I guess we get what we pay for....nothing !!
