Process to get a British Passport?

My dad is a British Citizen and my mom is South African.

Through my dad, I have British Citizenship already, right?

With that being said, what's the process to get the documents and such? I live in South Africa and looked on the websites but I have no idea how to do it or where to find it or what to do for that matter...

Was your father born in the UK to British citizens? And is your fathers name written on your birth certificate? If so then you can apply for a passport the same as anyone else

If your father was born in SA ( or anywhere else) and not in the UK to British parents then the citizenship stops with him and you are not British and so can't get a British passport

I'm in a similar situation except my mum is Brit . As far as I know you have to get a visa, live in UK for at least 5 years and then apply to get your citizenship.

Have you tried calling the British embassy in Pretoria to clarify?

It depends. If your father was born in the UK, then you aare a British citizen. If your father is a British citizen because his parent(s) were and he was born outside of the UK, you are not.
