0baama said Voter ID laws really don't prevent people from voting?

"Most of these [Voter ID] laws are not preventing the overwhelming majority of folks who don't vote from voting.

Most people do have an ID. Most people do have a driver's license. Most people can get to the polls."

~ 0bama, 10/21/2014, Interview with Al Sharpton

The only ones against Voter ID are those with a criminal agenda

I say full quotes are better.

"Most of these laws are not preventing the overwhelming majority of folks who don't vote from voting,"

. "Most people do have an ID. Most people do have a driver's license. Most people can get to the polls. It may not be as convenient' it may be a little more difficult."

But I agree, A Federal Voter ID is needed for Federal Elections.

Just think what those papers can be tied into.

Yet another conservative talking point with no thought behind it. Most of the time there are multiple reasons why people do or do not do something. Obama pointed out in the interview that apathy is a big reason why many minorities don't vote. He never said that the voter ID laws in some states are not also a factor in cases.

He's right. It's required by law to have Iegal state ID on you in the event of an emergency and a person is found down and out, needing help, and contact info. It's nothing new. So what if they tell you they are enforcing it, only tells me people don't have it, are too lazy to get it, or want one more thing to complain about. They must not get out if they don't have one already.

Attempting to keep peace so Fox News doesn't do the whole 'Obama is Evil, Reagan and Bush are God' propaganda they've been doing since he was elected. At this point, I'd get tired of making enemies as well; sometimes reality isn't the answer.

    Huggy,

I detect something fishy in Soetero's first statement. Folks who don't vote vote. Hmm.

Most of what he says is oddly true. Most voters in this country have some sort of ID but that means that they have a legit form of ID before they cast their vote.

Liberals are against Voter ID because they favor voter fraud, if it was used against them they would be rioting for Voter ID.
