What sort of power supply would I need to run two GTX 970's, half a dozen fans, and an i7?

Update:

I won't be overclocking to be honest.

SLI 970s, I7 and many fans ,chances you are going to want to overclock too. 1000W will give you all the headroom you need. EVGA SuperNOVA 1000 G1 or G2 are great choices being 80+ Gold certified. I run one and it's rock solid. Why EVGA do you ask.. 5 year warranty and a price that others cant touch.

Specs say at least 500 watts. I like to over do it to keep the PSU and case cool. If it were me, none less than 650 watts, but I would actually do 700-800 watts. Plus a good PSU keeps your system more stable. A poor PSU can cause all sorts of hardware glitches.

I would go for at least 750, as each card has an estimated wattage of 160, plus easily 100 for the processor and more for the fans.

The minimum is 500w real PSU.
