gas hot water heater lock?
i need ti secure my thermostat on the hot water heater. i have 3 step son's living here and someone is turning up the hot water cuz they can not handle warm water.i pay the bills so i am getting very upset and want a way to secure it....can i get a preset thermostat?
i will super glue it if i have to.

I have never heard of a lock, but there could be such thing.... here's what i would do. Shut off the hot water completely, for everyone. when some one complains, say "thank your brother"
Let them suffer a couple days. Then turn it back on, and tell them if the thermostat is touched again, bye bye all hot water. Everyone suffers for the actions of one and The innoscent brothers wont want to suffer, and will rat out the guilty one.
They could still mess w the thermostat while you re not home though. Good luck

I would leave a note and a hidden camera. {Turn this up} smile for the camera before you leave If I catch you the next bill is on you.
If your not paying the bills and touch it again
Pack cause your history.
Would be helpful to have the make and model number so I can see what your referring too and offer a solution
