If, for example, I'm disqualified from driving, is there anything legally stopping me from getting a licence to ride a moped?

Just curious to know. Because as some of you well know I may lose my licence, which I only have myself to blame for I guess. But legally could I apply for a moped licence if I was disqualified from driving?

Update:

*If I'm disqualified. My mistake sorry

"But legally could I apply for a moped licence if I was disqualified from driving?"

Not in the U.K. you couldn't, no.

'Disqualified from driving' means that you cannot drive or ride anything that requires a driving licence. At all. No exceptions.

No. When you're disqualified from driving, you're disqualified from driving anything anywhere. That means if a vehicle requires any kind of licence to drive, you're not allowed to drive it.

Take a look at what disqualification means. It doesn't mean you're not allowed to drive only a certain type or weight range of vehicle, it means you're simply not allowed to drive. That's the punishment for whatever naughty-naughty offence you're found guilty of doing.

Driving means anything with a motor you can use on the roads. I don't know where you are - but in the UK you only have one licence regardless of what you want to drive - and you are not allowed one because you have been banned.

If disqualified for driving, you won't be able to drive a moped or any vehicle that requires a drivers license.

You can ride a bicycle legally. Nothing that is tagged or registered, because that's what a license is for.
