The Stonecutters before Homer ruined them and they became the No Homers Club. It's unclear whether they still control the British crown and keep the metric system down but it's presumable that they do.

The Illuminati controls the British Crown. Christians have been able to suppress the satanic metric system so far, but since were in the end times, we can expect the metric system to replace the Christian measurement system of feet and inches.
